(Who, Why, What, How)
WHO NEEDS TO BE SAVED? The Bible teaches that all mankind needs to be saved because all mankind is under the curse of Sin. Romans 3:10, 23
WHY DOES ONE NEED TO BE SAVED? One needs to be saved because we are under the curse of what the Bible refers to as the original Sin. The original Sin came as a result of Adam’s trespass against the commandment of God. Gen. 2:16-17; 3:6-7 Romans 5:12
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE SAVED? It means that you are no longer under the curse of Adam. You are delivered from the penalty of sin. According to God’s word, the penalty is death. The day you eat thereof you will surely die. It is personal and it is also universal. The good news is that God loved mankind enough to make a provision for our salvation. Romans 8:1-6 John 3:16
HOW CAN I BE SAVED? God has made one and only one provision for our salvation, that is in the person of His Son Jesus Christ. Salvation is a free gift from God to us for our sin (the curse of Adam) as well as our sins (those acts committed against God and His Law). In order to be saved one must agree with God as to what He has said about us. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. One who desires to be saved must accept God’s provision for salvation, (Jesus Christ) into his or her heart and life. To do this, PRAY IN THIS MANNER: LORD JESUS, I KNOW THAT I AM A SINNER, AND CANNOT SAVE MYSELF. I INVITE YOU TO COME INTO MY HEART AND BE LORD OF MY LIFE.
If you have sincerely prayed this prayer, you have been saved by the grace of Almighty God. The gift that God has given you no man can take away. Eph.2:8-9 Romans 10:9-10 1 John 5:11-13
